Aristocrats by user6990376

Format: Commander

Commander: Nethroi, Apex of Death

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Abzan aristocrats deck: small creatures die to draw cards, make mana, and drain every opponent. Nethroi, Apex of Death is built as a backup mass-reanimation finisher rather than the main engine-its mutate trigger returns up to 10 total power from the graveyard, but the deck can function without it. Syr Konrad, Athreos, and the Blood Artist/Zulaport Cutthroat effects provide the consistent grind. Secondary wins come from Eerie Ultimatum, Gray Merchant recursion, or the rare loop of Reassembling Skeleton with Ashnod's Altar and Pitiless Plunderer. There is no hidden commander, and Lurrus cannot be a companion because many permanents have mana value above 2. Nethroi is still useful as a normal 5/5 deathtouch/lifelink blocker after early removal.
