Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Dragon tribal and Treasure midrange deck commanded by Smaug the Magnificent. The deck focuses on accelerating into Dragons and accumulating Treasure tokens to amplify Smaug's attack trigger. Early turns set up mana ramp and token value engines using cards like Arcane Signet, Xorn, and Dragon's Hoard. By Turn 4, Smaug enters combat immediately with haste, pinging targets based on Treasure count. In the mid-to-late game, the deck escalates its damage output through massive flying threats like Utvara Hellkite and Ancient Copper Dragon, damage multipliers like City on Fire and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, or alternative win conditions like Hellkite Tyrant. The deck uses targeted redirection spells like Deflecting Swat to protect its board while overwhelming opponents through aerial combat and direct burn.
