Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius aggro-Voltron strategy led by Geist of Saint Traft, supported by Angel tribal and token-doubling synergies. The primary game plan revolves around casting Geist on Turn 3 and immediately applying combat pressure on Turn 4 by generating 4/4 flying Angel tokens. Auras like Steel of the Godhead and Spirit Mantle grant evasion and lifelink to the hexproof commander, while token doublers such as Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation exponentially scale the deck's offensive output. Sub-themes of lifegain via Bishop of Wings, Righteous Valkyrie, and Resplendent Angel provide defensive cushion and secondary win conditions. The deck maintains moderate control and protection through stax pieces like Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and Linvala, Keeper of Silence, alongside turn-silencing effects like Grand Abolisher and Myrel, Shield of Argive. Because the deck wins strictly through combat damage without tutors, it relies on consistent curve-out aggression and resilient hexproof threats to overwhelm opponents.
