Grand Arbiter Augustin IV by Shurima

Commander: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Azorius artifact-combo/control deck built around Grand Arbiter Augustin IV as a tax-and-discount engine. The plan is to slow the table with rule-of-law and pillowfort pieces while assembling a Monolith-based mana engine that ends the game through Walking Ballista or a storm-style Aetherflux Reservoir. The commander taxes every spell the table casts while making your own colored spells cheaper, buying the time an artifact deck needs to find its pieces. The 99 is dense with fast mana, redundant untap effects, and tutors, with Displacer Kitten acting as a secondary engine that turns cheap noncreature spells into untaps and card advantage. The deck is not a glass-cannon combo deck; it layers control, stax, and a resilient artifact core so it can grind as well as combo.
