Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats and Vampire tribal midrange strategy helmed by Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher. The primary game plan develops low-cost sacrifice outlets, recurring creatures, and blood-artist drain engines during the opening turns. On Turn 5, deploying Carmen immediately capitalizes on every sacrifice made across the table, rapidly swelling her power while gaining life. Starting on Turn 6, Carmen attacks to reanimate impactful permanents from the graveyard—most notably looping Fleshbag Marauder or Cathar Commando every combat to systematically dismantle opposing boards. Opponents are subjected to heavy asymmetric creature attrition while Carmen grows into a lethal flying threat, supported by drain effects from Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant. An incidental two-card infinite combo between Exquisite Blood and Marauding Blight-Priest provides an alternate burst finish if drawn. While the deck boasts efficient spot removal and resilient reanimation lines, it remains vulnerable to graveyard exile and lacks stack-based countermagic.
