Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Vihaan, Goldwaker to convert Treasure tokens into lethal combat threats and aristocrat burn. Early turns establish mana velocity using fast artifacts and efficient Treasure engines like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, and Black Market Connections. Once Vihaan enters the battlefield, every Treasure becomes a 3/3 Construct Assassin with vigilance and haste during combat, allowing the deck to attack without losing the ability to spend those tokens for mana post-combat. The deck transitions into a decisive win state on Turn 5 by pairing wide boards of animated Treasures with mass finishers like Craterclaw Colossus, Akroma's Will, or Aggravated Assault, as well as drain pingers like Mirkwood Bats and Mayhem Devil. Robust protection spells such as Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, and Galadriel's Dismissal safeguard the board against disruption, while efficient spot removal keeps opposing commanders in check. The deck closes games reliably by Turn 6.
