Hidestugu by JesseBright0

Format: Commander

Commander: Hidetsugu and Kairi

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Dimir midrange value deck is built around Hidetsugu and Kairi as a reusable ETB/death engine. The commander draws three and stacks the top of the library on entry, then on death exiles the top card to drain an opponent and free-cast it if it is an instant or sorcery. The 99 supports this with a dense package of clone effects, blink engines, and "feign death" recursion so the commander can be copied, blinked, or sacrificed repeatedly for stacked triggers. Payoffs are expensive bombs-Time Stretch, Rise of the Dark Realms, Aminatou's Augury, Clone Legion, Mnemonic Deluge-cast for free off death triggers or hard-cast once the mana base is online. Secondary paths include go-wide tokens from Army of the Damned, Shark Typhoon, and Metallurgic Summonings, plus reanimation and theft. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through accumulated free value, life drain, and overwhelming boards.
