Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari midrange deck that uses deathtouch as both a combat weapon and a control tool while stacking poison counters through toxic creatures and proliferate. The Serpent Society anchors the board: a 3/4 with deathtouch, a Ward tax that hands targeters five poison counters, and a death trigger that turns every other deathtouch creature's death into a forced nontoken sacrifice for each opponent. The plan is to accelerate with cheap mana dorks and Sol Ring, put Fynn, the Fangbearer alongside a deathtouch-granting effect such as Ohran Frostfang or Saryth, the Viper's Fang, and attack with toxic threats so each unblocked hit becomes multiple poison counters. Proliferate effects-Evolution Sage, Contaminant Grafter, Bloated Contaminator, and Unnatural Restoration-spread those counters to all opponents. The deck closes by poison rather than life-total damage, with no infinite combo; it wins through incremental combat and the commander's sacrifice engine.
