Deck overview

This deck is an interactive Dimir tempo and control build piloted by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. The strategy focuses on operating entirely at instant speed, passing the turn with open mana to react to opposing plays with cheap countermagic, spot removal, and flash creatures. Each first spell cast on an opponent's turn generates a 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue token, steadily building a formidable airborne army. In combat, dealing damage with Faeries goads opposing creatures, forcing opponents to attack each other and preserving your life total. Synergy pieces like Obyra, Dreaming Duelist, Scion of Oona, and Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor amplify the damage clock and convert Faeries into life drain and card advantage. High-impact finishers such as Lord of the Nazgûl, Cyclonic Rift, and Torment of Hailfire ensure the deck cleanly transitions from board control to closing out the table. The result is a resilient draw-go control strategy that thrives on table politics and tempo advantages.
