Deck overview

This Abzan deck utilizes Felothar the Steadfast to convert high-toughness defenders into formidable attackers and a potent card-advantage engine. Fast mana and efficient mana dorks enable rapid early deployment of low-cost walls such as Wall of Blossoms and Wall of Omens. Once Felothar enters the battlefield, creatures assign combat damage using their toughness and ignore defender restrictions. Felothar's sacrifice ability also allows players to trade 0-power walls for massive bursts of card draw without discard penalties. The deck applies overwhelming combat pressure through massive threats like The Walls of Ba Sing Se (a 30/30 attacker), Tree of Perdition, and Baldin, Century Herdmaster. Highly asymmetric tools such as Meekstone and Dusk // Dawn dismantle opposing boards while leaving the deck's low-power creatures unharmed. Supported by resilient reanimation and premium Abzan removal, the deck steadily outvalues the table and closes out games through lethal combat damage by Turn 7.
