Deck overview

This Sultai Elfball deck is commanded by Thranduil, the Elvenking, leveraging an intricate synergy between traditional green mana acceleration and graveyard-based activated ability duplication. The deck's primary strategy relies on accelerating mana through low-curve dorks, entombing utility Elves such as Devoted Druid and Immaculate Magistrate via cards like Buried Alive, and casting Thranduil to instantly inherit their abilities. Once assembled, Thranduil generates arbitrarily large +1/+1 counters and infinite mana, closing the game immediately through Exsanguinate or Staff of Domination. If Thranduil is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly into standard Elfball infinite mana loops using Freed from the Real and Bloom Tender, or goes wide with tokens generated by Lathril, Blade of the Elves and Thranduil, Sindarin Liege. While potent and fast, the deck trades stack-based protection for speed, requiring careful timing to dodge removal and graveyard hate.
