Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-blue tempo strategy focused on cheap, evasive flying creatures, combat-damage card draw, and cost reduction. Early turns focus on deploying 1- and 2-drop flyers such as Faerie Vandal, Ledger Shredder, and Mischievous Mystic. Accumulating flying power drastically discounts The Lord of the Eagles, allowing an 8/8 flyer to enter at instant speed for as little as two blue mana on Turn 4. The deck transitions into an overwhelming card-advantage engine through effects like Bident of Thassa and Coastal Piracy, keeping hands filled with countermagic to protect the board. Win conditions include scaling combat damage via Gravitational Shift, counter stacking with Andúril, Narsil Reforged, and an alternate Dark Depths land combo.
