Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is led by Jean-Luc Picard, Luminary, functioning as a historic midrange engine that rewards casting legendary permanents, artifacts, and Spacecraft. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Picard on turn 4, then triggering his draw ability and Seek out mechanic by casting historic permanents of mana value 3 or greater. The deck converts card velocity into board power by stationing powerful Spacecraft such as U.S.S. Prometheus, Prototype, U.S.S. Defiant, Tough Little Ship, and U.S.S. Enterprise-E, Sovereign, charging them up and turning them into massive flying threats. Complementary Officers and advisors provide incremental +1/+1 counters, token generation, and board-wide combat buffs like double strike from Tom Paris, Risk-Taker. Interaction is balanced between targeted removal and asymmetrical board clears, though the deck gives away cards through group draws. It seeks to close games around turn 8 via overpowering, wide aerial combat.
