Witherbloom by stank912

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a black-green token/Elf midrange deck built to exploit Witherbloom, the Balancer's affinity for creatures. The plan is to flood the board with cheap Elves, Eldrazi Spawn, and Pest tokens, then use that creature count to make every instant and sorcery in the deck dramatically cheaper. Once the board is dense enough, the deck pivots into a decisive finish: a massive Exsanguinate, often doubled by Archfiend of Despair, an overrun from Tyvar, the Pummeler, or a repeatable Lathril, Blade of the Elves activation. Beledros Witherbloom functions as a hidden commander, providing explosive land untaps and life-gaining Pests, while Primal Vigor, Second Harvest, and Quina, Qu Gourmet multiply the token count. The commander itself is a force multiplier rather than a required engine: losing it costs discounts and a flying deathtouch body, but the deck's core plan lives almost entirely in the 99.
