Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves runs a classic Golgari elfball: low-cost Elf ramp, a web of lords and token makers, then a wide board that finishes through Lathril's ten-Elf drain and an alpha strike. The primary plan is to create a large Elf army, use Lathril's activation to take 10 life from each opponent, and end with an overrun or unblockable attack. Secondary plans include Jarad flinging a huge Elf, Skemfar Shadowsage life-loss, and Ezuri's overrun. The hidden commander is Elvish Promenade, amplified by Doubling Season; the deck can rebuild well but lacks counterspells.
