Abaddon Up

Format: Commander

Commander: Abaddon the Despoiler

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Abaddon the Despoiler is a Grixis value-aggro commander built around turning early life-loss into cascading hand-cast spells. The primary plan is to deploy one-mana pingers and monarch Courts, attack with Abaddon, then use the high cascade threshold to chain MV5 spells into from-exile payoffs such as The Lost and the Damned, Nalfeshnee, Keeper of Secrets, and Passionate Archaeologist. Secondary paths are Prosper/Profane Tutor exile-value, a Neheb+Heartless Hidetsugu mana burst, and a token/burn finish with Warstorm Surge. There is no hidden commander; Prosper is the strongest non-commander engine but does not replace Abaddon. The deck has no deterministic combo and wins by attrition, board pressure, and repeated burn.
