Valgavoth by user1528974

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Valgavoth is an attrition engine: this deck pairs her command-zone draw and +1/+1 counters with enchantments that make opponents lose life on their own upkeeps and draw steps (Mogis, Spiteful Visions, Persistent Constrictor). The primary plan is to establish one of those life-loss effects, protect Valgavoth with Lightning Greaves, and turn every opponent turn into card advantage and a bigger flying threat. Secondary paths include sacrifice/drain synergies from Mayhem Devil, Blood Artist, and Syr Konrad, plus a fragile Smaug/Mayhem Devil treasure loop that is not a main line. Mogis acts as a hidden second commander, while The Lord of Pain, Vial Smasher, and Kardur provide supplemental damage and disruption.
