Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red control and group-slug strategy commanded by Ashling the Pilgrim. It controls the board and closes games by turning Ashling into a repeatable, asymmetric board wipe and burn engine. In the early turns, the deck deploys fast mana artifacts and equipment like Basilisk Collar or Darksteel Plate to ensure Ashling survives its own third activation while gaining immense life. Midgame plays introduce damage amplifiers such as Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, and Fiery Emancipation, multiplying all noncombat damage dealt to opponents. Concurrently, tax cards like Price of Glory and Citadel of Pain punish opponents who hold mana open. The deck finishes games by detonating high-damage Ashling blasts, firing off massive Mana Geyser turns, or assembling an infinite mana loop with Reiterate to burn the entire table out by Turn 7.
