Commander: Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy and Scion of Halaster

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy with Scion of Halaster is a Dimir mill-control deck. Scion turns each first draw into a two-card selection that fills the graveyard, while Gale lets instants and sorceries be cast from the graveyard, generating card advantage and assembling the mill combo. The primary win is Bruvac the Grandiloquent plus a kicked Maddening Cacophony, which mills every opponent's entire library; Traumatize is a single-target backup. The deck controls the table with counterspells, bounce, board wipes, and theft effects while using extra turns and tutors to reach the combo. Bruvac functions as a hidden commander because the deck is built around his doubling effect.
