Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu tribal deck commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's eminence ability from the command zone to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever a Vampire creature spell is cast. The strategy floods the board with efficient low-mana Vampires on early turns, then scales their combat effectiveness using tribal lords like Stromkirk Captain, growing threats like Cordial Vampire, and direct life-drain engines like Sanctum Seeker. Blood tokens generated by cards like Voldaren Epicure and Bloodtithe Harvester provide steady hand filtering. Asymmetric sweepers like Olivia's Wrath and mass theft via Mob Rule clear paths for lethal alpha strikes. While the deck establishes fast, wide boards without needing its commander on the battlefield, it suffers from very thin ramp, an extreme shortage of white mana sources, and virtually no protection against mass board wipes.
