Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue artifact midrange strategy piloted by Lady Octopus, Inspired Inventor. The game plan revolves around casting Lady Octopus on Turn 1 and steadily accumulating ingenuity counters through natural card draw and draw engines. By Turn 4, Lady Octopus begins cheating 3- and 4-cost artifacts into play without spending mana, allowing the deck to simultaneously deploy card-draw engines like Sai, Master Thopterist and Thopter Spy Network alongside utility mana rocks. Between Turns 5 and 6, the deck converts its accumulating artifact count into crushing combat pressure using scaling threats like Kappa Cannoneer, Broodstar, and Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut. While the deck features robust recovery and redundant threats, it operates almost entirely at sorcery speed during combat, making it vulnerable to widespread artifact wipes and well-timed targeted removal.
