Deck overview

This Golgari midrange deck leverages Kraven the Hunter to turn symmetrical sacrifice effects into asymmetric resource dominance. By deploying cheap edict creatures like Plaguecrafter and Accursed Marauder, the deck strips opposing boards of their largest creatures while simultaneously growing Kraven with +1/+1 counters and drawing multiple fresh cards. A dense package of 1-mana protective instants keeps Kraven alive through combat and targeted removal, allowing him to eliminate players one by one via trample commander damage. Secondary threats like Vincent Valentine // Galian Beast and Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival provide resilient backup routes to victory. The deck excels at grinding out creature-based strategies through sustained attrition, though its sequential combat clock and lack of stack-based interaction make it vulnerable to go-wide token swarms and noncreature combo finishes.
