Smaug's Treasures

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent commands a mono-red Treasure deck focused on explosive artifact ramp, combat-based burst damage, and burn. The primary game plan generates dense Treasure stockpiles using aggressive early attackers like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer and Professional Face-Breaker, alongside engines like Magda, Brazen Outlaw and Xorn. Once mana and Treasure counts are established, the deck transitions into lethal damage through Smaug's Treasure-scaled attack trigger amplified by damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation, alternative win conditions like Hellkite Tyrant, or infinite extra combat steps using Aggravated Assault paired with high-yield Treasure generators like Ancient Copper Dragon or The Reaver Cleaver.
