Deck overview

This Izzet deck is built around the partner pairing of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, leveraging combat triggers to create a dominant mana engine and execute compact combo finishes. The primary win condition revolves around Glint-Horn Buccaneer, which forms a deterministic two-card infinite damage loop with Malcolm during combat. Connecting with Malcolm alongside Kediss generates three Treasure tokens each turn cycle, providing both mana acceleration and fuel for large card draw spells like Curiosity, Thoughtcast, and Eagle Vision. Redundant backup lines utilize creature pingers such as Reckless Fireweaver modified by type-altering spells like Artificial Evolution or Unnatural Selection to generate infinite Treasures and damage. Supported by a lean suite of 1-mana counterspells and flexible interaction, the deck reliably attempts a protected table kill on Turn 4 while maintaining strong recovery options through alternate combo packages.
