Deck overview

This mono-black discard-stax deck, helmed by Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal//Temple of the Dead, aims to grind opponents into submission through relentless forced discard and incremental life-loss triggers. The commander's attack forces each opponent to discard, and if they cannot, you draw-this dovetails perfectly with the deck's core of Megrim, Liliana's Caress, and Waste Not that convert every discarded card into damage, tokens, or mana. A swarm of creatures like Tinybones, Trinket Thief and Fell Specter pile on more punishment, while mass discard spells such as Unnerve and Syphon Mind accelerate the clock. The backup finisher is Torment of Hailfire for a large X, and Syr Konrad, the Grim turns any creature dying or milling into table-wide reach. There are no infinite combos-victory comes from draining the table over several turns once hands are empty.
