Deck overview

This Selesnya midrange deck harnesses +1/+1 counter synergies to generate explosive creature mana through its commander, Hamza, Guardian of Arashin. The early game focuses on establishing low-cost creatures and spreading counters via enablers like Conclave Mentor, Gyre Sage, and Rishkar, Peema Renegade. Once 2 to 3 modified creatures are on the battlefield, Hamza enters at a steep discount and massively reduces the casting costs of subsequent creature spells. This allows the deck to flood the board with large threats, engine pieces like Beast Whisperer, and draw bursts such as Armorcraft Judge and Inspiring Call. The deck closes games through combat by converting counters into evasion using Abzan Falconer, Duskshell Crawler, Champion of Lambholt, or finishing with Overwhelming Stampede. Additionally, an included two-card infinite combo between Herd Baloth and Ivy Lane Denizen provides an alternate avenue to create arbitrarily large creatures and infinite 4/4 tokens.
