Deck overview

This deck is a monoblack Zombie tribal swarm strategy commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, synergistic Zombie creatures and recurring sacrifice fodder in the opening turns, casting Gisa on turn 5, and utilizing her ability to convert high-power creatures into double their count in 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once a wide token board is established, tribal lords such as Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Cemetery Reaper enhance the swarm's combat stats while granting evasion like menace and deathtouch. Life drain cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Vengeful Dead punish opponents for clearing the board and close out remaining life totals. While the deck possesses immense grinding power through graveyard recursion and passive card draw, it lacks instant-speed protection and fast mana, requiring careful navigation around opposing board wipes.
