Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk and focuses on a punishing lifegain, life-tax, and aristocrats strategy. Liesa applies immediate pressure by forcing every player to pay 2 life for each spell cast while buffering your own life total with a 5/5 flying lifelink body. Her ability to pay life instead of mana for commander tax ensures she remains an active threat regardless of opposing removal. The 99 is filled with synergistic token generators like Ophiomancer and Myrel, Shield of Argive, paired with drain outlets like Mirkwood Bats, Blood Artist, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. High-end finishers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Shredder, Shadow Master quickly halve life totals, while the two-card combo of Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose offers a game-ending infinite loop. With potent interaction like Inkshield and Anguished Unmaking, the deck steadily grinds opponents down while maintaining dominance.
