Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Jund Villain-tribal deck helmed by the transforming Eddie Brock // Venom, Lethal Protector. The front face recurs a cheap creature on entry, while the back face - a 5/5 with menace, trample, and haste - attacks the turn it transforms, sacrificing another creature to draw X cards and cheat a permanent with mana value X or less onto the battlefield. The deck leans heavily on discard synergies (Green Goblin, Revenant, Misty Knight, Hero for Hire, Shadow of the Goblin, Spider-Gwen, Free Spirit) and mayhem/madness cards castable from the graveyard, plus a reanimation package (Behold the Sinister Six!, Prison Break, Too Evil to Stay Dead). It wins through overwhelming combat - Rhino, Barreling Brute, Lizard, Connors's Curse, Kraven, Proud Predator, and the 16/16 The Coming of Galactus token - amplified by Double Trouble and Maximum Carnage.
