Deck overview

This deck is built around Obeka, Splitter of Seconds, using combat damage to generate multiple additional upkeep steps in the post-combat main phase. By pairing Obeka with power-boosting effects like Two-Handed Axe // Sweeping Cleave and Bulk Up, the deck rapidly compounds the value of once-per-turn upkeep abilities. The primary win condition utilizes the Initiative mechanic through creatures like Ravenloft Adventurer and Rilsa Rael, Kingpin, allowing the deck to rush through the Undercity dungeon in a single turn to cheat creatures into play, drain life totals, and grant Obeka massive combat enhancements. Upkeep burn engines like Descent into Avernus and Quakebringer accelerate the clock against the entire table. The deck operates primarily at sorcery speed on curve, with functional reactive countermagic and death-reanimation spells defending Obeka during pivotal attack steps.
