Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger tempo strategy commanded by Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor scales in power with the number of Merfolk you control and creates a 1/1 blue Merfolk token for each blue mana symbol in the casting cost of any noncreature spell you cast. The deck leverages this ability by casting efficient cantrips, auras, card draw, and counterspells to rapidly build an army while disrupting opposing plans. Key Merfolk lords such as Master of the Pearl Trident and Vodalian Hexcatcher enhance the swarm with stat buffs, evasion, and utility.
