Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Reaper, King No More is a Jund -1/-1 counter theft/recursion deck. It builds a critical mass of counter triggers-Hapatra, Nest of Scarabs, Flourishing Defenses, and Blowfly Infestation-to create token armies, then converts deaths into life loss through Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. The cleanest independent win is Mikaeus, the Unhallowed plus Walking Ballista, a two-card infinite damage loop costing only six mana. The Reaper acts as a repeatable value engine, stealing key creatures that die with counters. Hapatra and Yawgmoth are the hidden commanders powering most infinite loops; Etali is a secondary haymaker that can steal games if it resolves.
