Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black control deck built around Sheoldred, the Apocalypse's ability to turn every card draw into a life-swinging weapon. The primary strategy layers symmetrical draw punishers (Seizan, Perverter of Truth, Howling Mine, Geier Reach Sanitarium) with forced discard and removal to slowly bleed opponents while gaining life. The deck can also pivot to a big-mana finish with Exsanguinate or Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or use Bolas's Citadel + Aetherflux Reservoir for a life-fueled burst. With no counterspells and a sorcery-speed lean, the deck relies on attrition and inevitability rather than blistering speed.
