Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius lifegain control strategy centered around Will, Scion of Peace. The core game plan pairs inexpensive incidental lifegain enablers with Will's activated ability to generate massive generic mana discounts on white and blue spells. Early turns focus on deploying cheap lifegain creatures, cantrips, and Will. Once the commander is active, the deck leverages high-yield lifegain spells like Rest for the Weary and Revitalize to discount large draw spells such as Pore Over the Pages and Spoils of Adventure, churning through the library. In the mid-to-late game, this discount fuels decisive win conditions like Decree of Justice to create an aerial army of 4/4 Angels or a giant Loxodon Lifechanter. While the deck possesses explosive mana turns and targeted protection like Shore Up, it relies heavily on its commander surviving at sorcery speed and lacks board sweepers and fast combo finishes.
