Deck overview

This is a Grixis amass spellslinger deck helmed by Saruman, the White Hand. The core plan is to cast a high density of noncreature spells-mostly instants, sorceries, and sagas-to repeatedly trigger Saruman's amass ability, rapidly inflating a single Orc Army token into a massive, ward-protected threat. Supporting amass payoffs, Goblin/Orc lords, and token doublers like Mauhur, Uruk-hai Captain accelerate the Army while incidental burn from Guttersnipe and Fiery Inscription chips the table. Secondary paths include big legendary bodies (Sauron, the Dark Lord, Sauron, Lord of the Rings), equipment-boosted combat, and cascade finishers such as Call Forth the Tempest. The deck wins through combat damage backed by menace, trample, deathtouch, and double-strike overlays rather than infinite combos, playing as a midrange value engine that turns every spell into board presence.
