Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Treasure-matters deck helmed by Smaug the Impenetrable, a 7-mana indestructible haste flyer that creates Treasures whenever it is dealt noncombat damage. The core plan is to generate a critical mass of Treasure tokens through a dense suite of producers, then convert them into a win via the alternate conditions Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant, a massive Exsanguinate, or overwhelming dragon combat. The commander's damage trigger synergizes with the deck's own damage-based board wipes - Blasphemous Act, Reckless Endeavor, and Spiteful Banditry all hit Smaug and refund a burst of Treasures. The deck is a midrange grinder that wins through sheer token volume and value accumulation rather than speed or stack interaction.
