Deck overview

This deck is a Jund aggro-aristocrats list commanded by Ognis, the Dragon's Lash. The primary plan converts fast combat steps into mana and damage. In the early game, cheap creatures with haste attack alongside Ognis to generate tapped Treasure tokens. In the mid-game, token doublers like Xorn, Jolene, the Plunder Queen, and Academy Manufactor rapidly expand this artifact hoard. The deck then transitions into a lethal closeout using aristocrat drain pieces such as Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, and Reckless Fireweaver, which punish opponents whenever Treasures enter or leave the battlefield. High-mana payoffs like Cut // Ribbons, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, and Hellkite Tyrant provide decisive reach. While the deck boasts strong combat momentum and quick commander recovery, its low land count, modest instant interaction package, and reliance on combat leave it vulnerable to sweepers and fast combo decks.
