Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis discard and wheel control strategy commanded by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The deck accelerates its mana base through efficient fast mana and low-cost rocks to deploy Kefka on Turn 4, immediately generating card advantage from symmetric discard. On Turn 5, it transitions to a critical threat state by chaining wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune and Windfall alongside potent attrition payoffs including Waste Not, Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Liliana's Caress. This empties opposing hands, fills the board with stolen permanents and Zombie tokens, and drains opponent life totals in large bursts. Supported by format-staple free countermagic and targeted removal, the deck aggressively protects its engine before closing the game on Turn 6 with Underworld Breach loops, direct drain, or wide combat swings.
