Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain Kindred and Discard Midrange strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck blends tribal synergy with looting velocity, leveraging the connive mechanic to filter cards, buff creatures, and trigger burn effects whenever land cards are discarded. Early turns focus on mana fixing and establishing low-cost Villains such as Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord and Prowler, Clawed Thief. Deploying Doctor Doom on Turn 4 activates immediate combat connive triggers, turning card churn into life drain and +1/+1 counters. In the midgame, the deck scales through token generators like Ultron, Unlimited, anthem engines like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and high-impact finishers like The Squadron Sinister and Living Laser. Mayhem mechanics and reanimation spells provide graveyard value, while selective board wipes like Kindred Dominance clear the way for lethal combat across Turns 7 and 8.
