Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Voltron and graveyard-synergy strategy led by Kathril, Aspect Warper. The primary game plan centers on depositing creatures with diverse keyword abilities into the graveyard during the early turns. Cards like Buried Alive, Entomb, and Grisly Salvage find premier keyword donors such as Zetalpa, Primal Dawn, Sylvan Caryatid, and Dragon Sniper. Once the graveyard is prepared, casting Kathril distributes keyword counters across your creatures while growing Kathril into a massive, double-striking, indestructible, and hexproof threat. The deck eliminates opponents in sequential combat steps, dealing lethal commander damage in one swing per player. If Kathril is removed or countered, traditional reanimation spells like Reanimate and Victimize allow the deck to pivot into a robust midrange beatdown plan using keyword-sharing engines like Odric, Lunarch Marshal and Cairn Wanderer.
