Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red theft-and-sacrifice spellslinger strategy commanded by Loki, God of Lies. The core game plan exploits Loki's on-cast trigger, transforming cheap one-mana targeting cantrips such as Crimson Wisps, Expedite, and Ancestral Anger into instant Threaten effects that draw cards. By untapping and granting haste to stolen opposing creatures, the deck attacks opponents with their own threats before permanently disposing of them using sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Altar of Dementia, and Goblin Bombardment. Stax and attrition pieces like Smoke, Uphill Battle, and Shivan Harvest systematically cripple opposing combat steps and mana bases while breaking parity through Loki's untap mechanics. High-impact closers such as Insurrection, Spectacular Showdown, and a compact infinite mana loop between Goldspan Dragon and Crown of Flames provide decisive avenues to close out games.
