Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu Vampire tribal build commanded by Edgar Markov. Its strategy revolves around utilizing Edgar's eminence ability from the command zone to generate a 1/1 black Vampire creature token whenever any Vampire spell is cast. By playing low-cost Vampires in the opening turns, the deck rapidly establishes a wide board presence that scales into lethal combat damage through anthem lords such as Stromkirk Captain, Bloodline Keeper, and Cordial Vampire. In addition to combat pressure, the deck incorporates a potent aristocrats package with Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Mirkwood Bats, turning board wipes and creature trades into direct life drain against all opponents. Standalone powerhouses like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and an infinite combo pairing of Exquisite Blood and Defiant Bloodlord provide explosive win conditions. Protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Grand Abolisher safeguard the army during critical turns.
