Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos battlecruiser engine centered around Rakdos, Lord of Riots. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost symmetrical burn enablers such as Stormfist Crusader, Keen Duelist, and Caustic Bronco on the early turns to fulfill the commander's casting restriction on Turn 4. Once Rakdos, Lord of Riots is on the battlefield, connecting with combat damage or utilizing burst damage sources like Heartless Hidetsugu provides a massive generic mana discount to creature spells. This discount allows the deck to flood the board with devastating colorless beaters, including Blightsteel Colossus, Kozilek, the Broken Reality, Desolation Twin, and Triplicate Titan on Turn 5. The deck transitions this sudden board presence into a rapid 2-turn combat clock to eliminate the table by Turn 7. While vulnerable to targeted commander removal and lacking countermagic, its high threat density ensures explosive turns.
