Deck overview

This Esper control deck uses Y'shtola, Night's Blessed as a drain and draw engine. You cast noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater to deal 2 to each opponent and gain 2, while any turn where a player loses 4 life draws you a card. Cost reducers like Lyse Hext and Alisaie Leveilleur let you chain spells, and pay-life engines like Bolas's Citadel and Gwenom, Remorseless turn life into cards. Bolas's Citadel acts as the hidden commander that enables the main win: Aetherflux Reservoir loop with Sensei's Divining Top and Citadel or Gwenom for infinite life and 50-damage shots. A secondary Retraction Helix plus Valley Floodcaller and Sol Ring line gives infinite bounce and mana.
