The best Sauron by NorseGael

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Grixis deck uses Sauron, the Dark Lord as a draw engine while it sets up graveyard combos. Sauron builds an Orc Army when opponents cast spells and draws four cards when the Ring tempts you and you discard your hand, with Ward that protects him. The main plan is the Worldgorger Dragon loop with Animate Dead, Dance of the Dead, or Necromancy to make infinite mana and infinite enters, then close with Torment of Hailfire. A second line uses Hullbreaker Horror with Sol Ring to generate infinite mana and bounce. If combos fail, the deck wins through hard-cast threats like Archon of Cruelty, Consecrated Sphinx, and Jin-Gitaxias, with Razaketh and Burning-Rune Demon acting as hidden tutors.
