Commander: Super Shredder

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Super Shredder pilots a mono-black aristocrats deck whose main plan is to loop a recursive creature through an Altar plus Pitiless Plunderer while Blood Artist or another drainer turns every death into damage. The commander is an inexpensive menace that grows as permanents leave the battlefield, providing a complementary voltron clock, but no combo requires him. Backup routes use Cabal Coffers/Urborg to fuel Torment of Hailfire, or Bolas's Citadel/Top for an engine. Sephiroth in the 99 is a hidden commander: its death triggers drain and it transforms into an emblem that preserves the drain. The deck is tutor-dense, low to the ground, and resilient to creature wipes via recursion.
