Deck overview

Ureni of the Unwritten leads a high-velocity Temur Dragon stompy deck designed to cheat enormous flying threats directly onto the battlefield. The strategy builds mana rapidly using 14 ramp spells and cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Farseek, accelerating into the seven-mana commander by Turn 5. When Ureni enters and attacks, it digs eight cards deep to cheat massive Dragons into play for free. With 32 Dragons in the list, hits like Atarka, World Render, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames provide extreme functional redundancy. The critical onset arrives on Turn 6, unleashing an overwhelming airborne assault that closes the game within one response cycle on Turn 7. While the deck boasts immense threat density and rapid recovery without its commander, its main weaknesses are a near-total absence of stack countermagic and minimal defensive protection against mass exile or board sweepers like Farewell.
