Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red group slug and burn combo list built around Heartless Hidetsugu. The primary game plan is straightforward and explosive: assemble mana acceleration, establish a haste enabler, deploy a damage-doubling effect, and activate Hidetsugu to deal 40 lethal damage to all opponents at starting life totals simultaneously. Lifelink equipment like Basilisk Collar and Loxodon Warhammer or damage-capping effects like Fortune Thief protect the pilot from dying to the commander's symmetrical blast. While the deck lacks high-end tutors and free countermagic, it makes up for it with high functional redundancy across damage doublers and haste sources. Interactive spells focus on damage-based sweepers and creature removal, while anti-lifegain tools prevent opponents from escaping lethal math.
