Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Dragon-treasure storm deck built around Smaug the Impenetrable. The commander is a 7-mana indestructible, hasty Dragon that converts every point of noncombat damage into Treasures, turning the deck's red damage spells and board wipes into one-sided mana engines. The primary plan is to land Smaug, damage him with cards like Cut Propulsion, Pyrohemia, or Star of Extinction, then use the resulting Treasure hoard to fuel Revel in Riches, mass drain, or explosive artifact-pinger damage. Backup routes include Dragon beatdown via Smaug the Magnificent, Smaug, Wicked Worm, and Desert Were-Worm extra combat, plus a sacrificial drain package with Mayhem Devil and Mirkwood Bats. Token multipliers Xorn and Academy Manufactor turn a moderate Treasure count into a game-ending board state.
