Deck overview

Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan leads a midrange deck combining wide token generation, team-wide +1/+1 counter distribution, and aristocrats drain effects. The core game plan develops early board presence using low-cost token generators such as Baron Bertram Graywater, Chatterfang, Squirrel General, and Hidden Stockpile. Casting Felothar allows each attack to sacrifice an expendable creature, distributing +1/+1 counters across your army and transforming small tokens into lethal combat threats. Aristocrats payoffs like Bastion of Remembrance, Mirkwood Bats, and Zulaport Cutthroat penalize opponents for interacting with your board while converting every token death into direct life drain. The deck controls opposing tempo with selective edicts from Savra, Queen of the Golgari and mass resets like Culling Ritual. It reliably finishes games on Turn 8 through wide combat swings combined with mass life drain.
